Juvenile Delinquency A Social Problem of Pakistan
What is Juvenile Delinquency
The offense which is committed by a person under 16 years of age is called Juvenile Delinquency. Juvenile Delinquency may be described as a status in a juvenile or a young person characterized by anti social behavior, waywardness and incorrigibility. In our Pakistan the issue of juvenile Delinquency is common due to over population. The children which are out of school and not under the provision become delinquent. The female child and male child both considered juvenile Delinquent if they are under 18. These children do many illegal activities and they also do crime for other people. Children have little brain so they easily learn what they see. Mostly the disadvantages neighborhood conditions leads to juvenile Delinquency, becuase in these societies people are very poor and they commit crimes. For example as we see little children mostly spend their time in games and in sitting streets.
Crimes Committed By Juvenile Delinquency:
- Drug selling for little many
- Theft of minor things for little profit
- Auto Theft like Side Mirror or battery theft
- Smoking Shesha, Poppy Filled Cigarettes,Chars
- Fighting in streets
- They often misbehaving in home
- Gambling on games like Dabbo, Patti
- Sometimes they commit murder
Causes of Juvenile Delinquency:
- Lack of Family Control
- Lack of Religion Control
- Use of Drugs
- Misuse of electronic media
- Law and moral values are weak
- Injustice in Country
- Family Conflicts/ Domestic Violence.
- Solution to Control Juvenile Delinquency:
- Proper education to children
- Monthly stipend to children if they poor
- Child Labour must be banned
- Vocational training given to children
- Provide play and recreational activities to children
- Concepts of Punishment
- Rehabilitation center for juvenile
- Street games zones must be banned
- Effective laws for juveniles.
